I find joy in working with others and learning together. During acupuncture school, I regularly led study groups and was inspired by the gradual progress we achieved together. Before starting to study acupuncture, I worked in education. I spent several years working as a one to one tutor and then worked at a public high school as a math teacher. My students appreciated a learning environment where they were encouraged to find their own paths to success. I’m very excited to bring the teaching and coaching skills I’ve developed over the years into my acupuncture practice.
My journey into acupuncture began with my own health challenges. At 29, I was diagnosed with advanced arthritis and got a complete ankle reconstruction surgery. Recognizing the need for additional care during recovery, I requested a referral for acupuncture. While the surgery significantly improved my quality of life, the consistent care and support I received from my acupuncturist played a vital role in my healing process. Those sessions not only ensured my physical recovery stayed on track but also uplifted my spirits during the 101 days with an external fixator on. Without regular acupuncture, I don’t know how I would have survived the one hundred and one days with the external fixator on.
Now it is my turn to support others on their health journeys. As your acupuncturist, I’ll listen to your concerns and provide compassionate care based on your needs and goals. I look forward to partnering with you to help improve!
When I’m not supporting patients I enjoy going on bike rides, cooking, and finding new things to learn!
